REMARKS; Son of Robert and Jane Blair of Albert Road Carrickfergus – Born in Ballyclare. He died at sea on or about 6 May 1918 when his ship, the s.s. Eveleen, was torpedoed by a German U-Boat, probably U-Boat 72. The ship had sailed from Ayr, Scotland the same day bound for Belfast with a cargo of coal. The s.s. Eveleen was owned by J. Milligen & Co., Ltd. Belfast. The ship he was on, S.S. Eveleen, sailed from Ayr that day, bound for Belfast, and was never seen or heard of again.
There were no survivors.

REMARKS –  Nothing on CWGC.  - BOYD, Henry, Lance Corporal, RMLI (RMR B 1044), 14258 (Ply), Lady Cory Wright, 26 March 1918, ship lost.  HMS “Lady Corywright” was sunk by UC-17 shortly after sailing from Davenport on the 26th March 1918.  The Captain and 38-41 men were all lost with the ship.  For some reason there is no record for Henry Boyd on the CWGC website however he does appear in an official list of this lost.
